Common questions
What is an FCC ID, and where do I find it?
An FCC ID identifies certified radio equipment. Look for the code on the exact unit's label or regulatory settings, and match its hardware revision. Follow eBay's FCC ID guidance. Don't invent or guess an ID.
Is this safe? What information does it examine?
The tool uploads only item numbers, titles, and the names and numbers of your first and second categories—listing information normally visible on eBay. Your CSV can also contain nonpublic fields such as SKU and stock quantity. Those columns, prices, variation descriptions and any FCC ID columns are removed in your browser before upload. The whole CSV is not uploaded. See the privacy page for storage, deletion and security verification details.
Does an AI read my listings?
No AI runs when you use the tool. AI helped write and test the screening rules. A fixed set of rules screens the six uploaded listing fields on our server. Your listing data is not sent to an AI provider.
What do the results mean?
Likely FCC ID: listing text, category or a model note points to a radio transmitter. Investigate: the exact model or features need checking. No indication: no transmitter evidence was found; this is not a compliance clearance. Vague titles and information excluded from the upload can hide a transmitter.
Can it find the exact FCC ID or change my listings?
No. It screens the uploaded listing fields. It does not read live listings, photos or item specifics, and it does not connect to or change your eBay account.
How do the preview and full report work?
The free preview shows the total counts and the same first ten flagged listings. When paid reports are open, the full report is $20 USD for fewer than 1,000 unique listings, or $30 USD for 1,000 or more, once per file. Invited testers can receive full reports within their access dates and audit allowance. The server confirms access before showing or downloading a full report.
